      Key Takeaways

      • The video game company Capcom is finally releasing their game Pragmata after 6 years of technical issues and delays.
      • Roblox announces Roblox Plus. It’s an in-game paid subscription that gives users discounts on in-game items and gives exclusive benefits.
      • Nintendo has entered the “Switch 2 era,” the focus is now more on the Nintendo Switch 2.

      In-Depth

This April 2026 has really been established as a “bridge month” for video games. It’s where multiple big games and hardware are released, and start or solidify their rise to popularity,

Video game releases are always extremely hyped up. Especially ones that have been delayed. Pragmata fits those criteria perfectly. The video game was announced by Capcom in 2020, but faced multiple production issues. Capcom then moved the game release six years ahead to 2026, which is a long wait for early anticipators. Now, Pragmata will release April 17 on the following consoles: Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo is now thriving with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s been around long enough to start the “Switch 2 era.” Nintendo is starting to push its focuses to the Switch 2, adding more exclusive games. Most people thing the main idea of the Nintendo Switch 2 was to add a sense of exclusivity to what you were playing, because there are more games on Switch 2 than there are on a normal Nintendo Switch. However, the actual main idea of the Switch 2 was to add more variation to the games you can play. One of these games is Pragmata.

However, what is exclusive is Roblox Plus. Roblox has set up a subscription like program in which you pay around $5 a month for exclusive perks, such as discounts on certain items and boosts when playing game platforms. According to Roblox, the discount will be covered by them.
“We’re always looking for new ways to deliver value to our global community,” comments Enrico D’Angelo, a business officer at Roblox. “Roblox Plus is designed to reward our most engaged users while ensuring that creators continue to benefit as the platform grows.” The subscription also seems to focus on supporting creators, and helping them earn money. This has usually been one of the main goals of Roblox. Roblox Plus will be available for purchase on April 30th.

There has been a lot of things to be covered in terms of gaming news this April. The long awaited Pragmata releases soon, Nintendo is entering a new era, and Roblox is now dealing out subscriptions to users. Will you play Pragmata? Or sign up to Roblox Plus? Whatever you choose, this has been your gaming report of April 2026.
